Let's Go Scrapping is my passion. As a
kid I held on to every report card, term
paper and tidbit memento of my
childhood. I was given my first camera
at age 12 and the rest is history. My
love of nostalgia and photography gave
birth to the life long hobby of
scrapbooking. It all started with one of
those big manila paper memory books that
soon led to today's art form.
I started officially scrapbooking in
1998 when my youngest daughter was born.
Since then I have completed over 625
pages in 13 books. If that isn't enough,
I founded a club bringing scrapbooking
to my daughter's school for the first
time to 22 enthusiastic high school
girls. I've really enjoyed the past 5
years moderating and teaching the girls
scrapbook techniques. Sometime in 2002,
my oldest and I went to our first crop.
Well, we were hooked and wanted to crop
with others as much as possible. We met
3 lovely people who we still crop with
today. In August of 2003 I invited my
sister-in-law, Leslie Deiss, to come
with us to a crop. She's been hooked
ever since. Today, Leslie is an
instructor at a local scrapbook store
AND is Let's Go Scrapping's primary
instructor. In 2005, I decided to leave
accounting to combine everything that
gave me great satisfaction, making
people feel at home, meeting new
friends, and of course, scrapbooking!!
The main goal of Let's Go Scrapping is
for you to feel like you've been a
scrapping friend forever!! Let's Go
Scrapping is dedicated to making your
crop time memorable, fun, and filled
with laughter. Whether you come alone,
with a friend or with a group, by the
time you leave a Let's Go Scrapping crop
you'll have a room full of scrapping
buddies!!
Let's Go Scrapping holds crops (one day
or full weekends) in the panhandle of
Maryland, Central Maryland including,
Baltimore and Annapolis, Southern
Maryland and Pennsylvania. Look for a
crop near you!!! |
