Class Name: Design Made Easy

Class Description: Who actually understands all those terms in art and design books? Have you ever been paralyzed worrying about balance, color and focal point? How do you pick the right products for your page when there are so many choices out there? Whether you are new to scapbooking or just looking for help to improve your layouts, this class makes the principles of good design easy to understand and use on every page. Learn a step-by-step process to help you create a page quickly, without having to remember all those complicated rules and terms. Included will be techniques to bring focus to your pictures so you can display them proudly. We will give you valuable hints and tips for choosing paper, embellishments and styles. And complete one layout using various products. An extensive handout will be provided. All skill levels are welcome! This is a great refresher class for the seasoned veteran and an invaluable resource to help the beginner get started on this fabulous hobby! An extensive handout is included.

What supplies do attendees need to bring with them: 2 or 3 Pictures that fall under any of these 3 themes: Baby, Christmas, or Travel. Also bring a trimmer and adhesive. All other supplies will be provided.

Class Name: Out of the Box and Into the Paint Can

Class Description: Altered art is the latest craze in the Scrapbook world. Everything is being altered, or decorated, from clip boards, to note books, Altoid tins to paint cans. In this class we will alter (or decorate) an empty paint can that can be used as a creative way to package a gift. Paint cans, like baskets, are a great way to wrap a gift because the packaging is just as useful as what is on the inside. The techniques you will learn will allow you to alter anything. Altering is only limited by your own imagination and there are no new products required! You will have everything you need in your scrapbook stash! So get those presents out of their boring boxes and join me for a class that is both fun and easy!

Class Name: Braggy Taggy Gift Book

Class Description: In this class we will create an accordion book that holds custom tags perfect for displaying your photos. You may have seen these on the 2 Peas Gallery or in “The Art of Collage” by Pine Cone Press. Now you can learn how to make one yourself. This cute little accordion book holds tags that can be embellished an infinite number of ways. This makes a great brag book because the tags can be changed out with new pictures. It is also a great gift! Everyone in your family will want one! You will be able to choose from 2 styles and colors of paper to create your very own one of a kind book.

What supplies do attendees need to bring with them: 5 or 6 pictures that can be cropped to around 2˝ x 3. Trimmer, adhesive, scissors, and embossing stylus or bone folder.

Class Name: Mini an Album for a Star

Class Description: Learn to make an adorable mini album that opens up into the shape of a star. They are fast and easy to make. And the dimensions can be adjusted to make anything from ornaments to centerpieces for a table. These little books make great gifts or a true conversation piece to display your own photos. We will cover many techniques including covering chipboard to make the album cover, pop out pages, and stamping. Have fun folding paper to create something truly unique!

What supplies do attendees need to bring with them: Trimmer, adhesive, strong double-sided tape, embossing stylus or bone folder, favorite Spring time stamp if desired.

Class Name: Stamping 101 - The Basics

Class Description: As more and more scrapbookers venture into the new territory of stamping the question becomes "How do I get started - what do I need?" Stamping 101 will introduce you to the basics of stamping, whether it is for a beautiful scrapbook page, a personal handmade card or a crafty gift item. You will learn how to create your own beautiful Pattern Paper with stamps and ink. It will also will explain the mystery behind terms such as Generation Stamping, Kissing, Masking, Stamp Rolling and more.

Each participant will receive a booklet with the descriptions of the techniques, we will stamp samples right into this technique booklet so it can be used for future reference. The class will conclude with a fully stamped page to use in a future Layout.

Class Name: Stamping 101 - Fun with Chalks & Waterbrush

Class Description: Chalks will open new doors for you - chalks offer a variety of color at a fairly low cost, but there is more to chalking than just applying the color to an image with the applicators that come with most chalking supplies. You can achieve a rainbow of colors when you learn about "Chalk Popping" - one of my favorite techniques especially for Fall pages. You will also learn different ways to apply and use your chalks. The waterbrush is a perfect companion to chalks, but there are a few more tricks and techniques involving this versatile tool. The class will conclude with a summer theme layout page to match the page in the "Basics" class.

Each participant will receive a booklet with the descriptions of the techniques, we will stamp samples right into this technique booklet so it can be used for future reference.

Class Description: Learn to make a quick and easy 3x3 mini album which is perfect for gifts or just to keep as a brag book. The theme for this album is "Deck The Halls." This is our Christmas in July workshop designed to help you get a head start on your holidays.
